I'm Petter Berg, an adventure and outdoor brand photographer based between Gothenburg, Sweden and Minneapolis, USA. I've shot campaigns in the Canadian Rockies, the Austrian Alps, and across Scandinavia for brands and agencies that need more than pretty pictures — they need images that work as hard as the products they represent.

There's a difference between a photographer who shoots outdoors and a photographer who understands the outdoor industry. I come from action sports. I've spent years on mountains, in backcountry terrain, and on shoots where the conditions are as much a part of the story as the athlete. That lived experience shows in every frame.
When I work with outdoor brands, I bring both technical photography skills and a genuine understanding of the lifestyle. I know what a 5 AM ski tour feels like. I know how gear performs at minus twenty. And I know how to capture those experiences in a way that makes your audience feel it too.
What I Shoot for Outdoor Brands
My work for adventure and outdoor brands covers the full spectrum of visual content. I create campaign and lookbook photography — seasonal collections shot on location in real environments, not studios. My lifestyle and brand storytelling captures authentic moments that connect your brand to the culture your customers live in. I specialize in action and sports photography, from backcountry skiing to trail running, with real athletes in real conditions. I also produce athlete and ambassador portraits — editorial-quality portraits that bring your team to life — and social media and digital content, providing ready-to-publish visual content optimized for Instagram, web, and digital campaigns.
From Art Direction to Adventure Photography
Before going full-time behind the camera, I worked as an art director and designer at creative agencies. That background fundamentally shapes how I approach every outdoor brand shoot. I don't just think about the single image — I think about how it fits into the campaign, the product page, the social feed, and the brand's larger visual identity.
For brand managers and marketing teams, that means working with a photographer who already thinks in your language. Fewer rounds of feedback. Tighter alignment with the brief. Images that are ready to deploy across every channel from the moment they're delivered.
Brands and Agencies I've Worked With
My client list spans automotive, outdoor, sport, and lifestyle sectors. I've photographed for Volvo Cars, Oakley, Peak Performance, Yamaha, Husqvarna, Intersport, and Nordic Spirit, among others. On the agency side, I've partnered with Forsman & Bodenfors, BBDO, McCann, and Stendahls on projects ranging from global campaigns to targeted digital content.
In the adventure and outdoor space specifically, my recent work includes brand campaign shoots in St. Anton, Austria and the backcountry of British Columbia, Canada — producing lifestyle, action, and portrait content for ski and outdoor apparel brands.
Where I Shoot
I'm based between Sweden and the US, and my adventure work has taken me across the globe. Recent shoots have been in the Canadian Rockies (British Columbia), St. Anton am Arlberg (Austria), various locations across Scandinavia, and the American Midwest. I travel readily for the right project and I'm experienced in managing the logistics of remote location shoots — permits, safety, weather contingencies, and tight production schedules.
